Just like hospitals before them, colleges are following suit to go completely smoke-free. It's not a new trend, but it is becoming more extreme.

Whereas I opposed the war in Iraq, and knew it to be unjustified, unnecessary and reckless, I have believed the opposite is true of the war in Afghanistan. To this day I still support the war there and President Obama's decision to send more troops as part of Gen. McChrystal's counter-insurgency plan.

Last Friday night a New York City gay man was attacked and beaten nearly to death by two men. The incident was fortunately caught on surveillance camera.
